Under the 9 o’clock shade of a fig tree,
rows of hay bales were neatly arranged and draped in white. On these bales
family, friends and loved ones sat waiting eagerly, anticipating her arrival. Dressed in a masterpiece, designed for a fabled
fairy from distant lands, in brown and white, the groom welcomed his bride under
ribbons and hearts, dangling from branches above.
All who is dear was present; even the rain checked in briefly, leaving
dainty drops on jubilant faces. After raising glasses of bubbly and feasting on
delectable finger food, the not-so-normal summer’s day in the Lowveld came to
an end. What a day to start a new life...
Happy one year anniversary Marcus and Nenine.
